The Retirement Community You Deserve
Special Features
Hickory Hill offers a range of special features that future residents are sure to love. Learn more about what makes our community so unique:
Coffee Shop
The Hickory Hill coffee shop is a cozy gathering place where residents can enjoy morning, afternoon, and evening snacks while sharing good fellowship. This inviting space, adorned with warm wallpaper, lace curtains, and large picture windows, is perfect for ice cream socials, ladies' teas, and other small group activities.
Gift Shop
One of the most charming and talked-about areas at Hickory Hill is our gift shop, where beautiful handmade craft items are displayed. All proceeds from sales support our Activities Club, of which every resident is a member. Our activity director helps inspire and guide residents in creating items for the shop, and also assists with mail, selecting greeting cards, and making personal purchases.
Activity Program
Our vibrant activity program offers something for everyone at Hickory Hill. A resident favorite is our daily exercise class, held in the lively exercise and therapy room filled with music and colorful props. Classes are inclusive — whether residents are wheelchair-bound or able to walk — and are offered five to six days a week. During warmer months, classes often move to our sprawling front porch, where our chocolate lab, Corky, joins in the fun.
We offer a wide variety of weekly activities to suit all interests, including the Cooking Club, Fireside Stories in the library, karaoke sing-alongs, bingo, craft classes, Neat Nails, and outings to Wal-Mart. Every other Tuesday, our "Lunch Bunch" group visits favorite local restaurants. For residents unable to attend outings, our Activity Assistant also offers personal shopping services for a small fee. Additionally, we host Bible studies on Monday mornings and Wednesday and Sunday afternoons, welcoming ministers from various faiths.

Our cheery and bustling beauty shop is another favorite among residents. Thoughtfully decorated with soothing wallpaper and borders, it provides a relaxing atmosphere where residents can enjoy being pampered by our talented hairdressers, making every visit a special and rewarding experience.
Respite Care
Our respite care program offers short-term stays for those needing care over a weekend or for several weeks (a 48-hour minimum stay is required).
